Nintendo is bringing its Famicom Detective Club games to the West more than 30 years after their original release. As announced during the February 2021 Nintendo Direct broadcast, Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind are both coming to the Switch this May, and they feature updated visuals, new music, and other modernizations. The two games are visual novels that task players with uncovering the truth behind mysterious murders. In The Missing Heir, Nintendo says players will need to “solve a complex murder case surrounding a wealthy family in a haunted village while dealing with amnesia.” The Girl Who Stands Behind, meanwhile, tasks players to “investigate a supernatural rumor after a mysterious death to free students from a sinister nightmare.”
