Florida Gaming Commission Requests Three Fantasy Sports Betting Operators to Stop Operations

Florida Gaming Control Commission requested that three daily fantasy sports operators shut down their operations in the state. The Commission’s cease-and-desist letter was reportedly sent to Underdog Sports, PrizePicks, and Betr  for their alleged involvement in illegal sports wagering activities. As reported, the regulator’s allegations notably excluded major operators like FanDuel and DraftKings, but seem likely to affect the paid fantasy sports market and the future of the fantasy sports wagering industry in the Sunshine State.

Failure to Comply Triggers Prosecution:

The Capitol reports that Louis Trombetta, the Executive Director of the Florida Gaming Control Commission, notified the three companies about the regulator’s demand.  “I am hereby de…

Online gaming potential for Oklahoma following Chickasaw Nation ruling

Mobile-friendly online gaming may soon be launched in the American state of Oklahoma after the federally-recognized Chickasaw Nation received a green light from the National Indian Gaming Commission.

According to a Thursday report from The Oklahoman newspaper, the decision could allow the giant tribe to begin offering a mobile-friendly range of ‘Class II’ bingo games to users across a large swath of southern Oklahoma. The source detailed that the National Indian Gaming Commission regulates tribal gaming across the United States and worked with the Chickasaw Nation for over a year before signing off on adjusted standards that will allow the group to expand its operations onto mobile devices.

A huge discount to Batman- Arkham Asylum, the superlative superhero game with over 47,000 ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ reviews on Steam, is the Halloween gaming treat I’ve been waiting for

To this day I think it is fair to say that there has never been a better superhero game than Batman: Arkham Asylum. Rocksteady Studios nailed the brief when creating this superhero action game classic, not only making you feel like The Dark Knight but treating the surrounding Batman world with genuine love and respect. There was so much attention and detail poured into its depiction of Gotham’s famous prison and nefarious denizens, that it was a joy to infiltrate and fight in.

Another King of Dragon Pass successor, Six Ages 2, plunges its world into chaos-

Everyone loves the part of mythical history where the gods are fighting each other and the firmament of the world is going to come crashing down. I can’t imagine the people who lived during it liked it very much, though, which is what we’re about to find out in Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out, a story-driven strategy and resource management game from the same storied legacy as King of Dragon Pass, when it releases on August 21st, 2023.

Following up on 2019’s Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind, Six Ages 2 will continue the prehistory of its mythic fantasy  world into the Age of Chaos, where many of the gods are dead, or worse, and the degradation of the world by primordial Chaos is causing things to get increasingly bad for your tribe of bronze-age humans.

It’s set in the w…

PSA- Dragon Age- The Veilguard doesn’t warn you which big quests are going to lock you out of finishing up side quests

I wasn’t all that far into Dragon Age: The Veilguard when I realised I’d been locked out of a sidequest unexpectedly. It was after the first significant event in the game where you, of course, have to make a big decision that has some longer-lasting repercussions. But if you’re not paying attention to your quest log, you might not notice that some quests disappear into the completed section with a little entry above them saying something along the lines of “You can no longer complete this because this event has happened”.

This occurs throughout the game, and in-particular, affects faction and companion quests—essentially the two most important quest types for if you want to gain allies, faction reputation, or even romance a specific character in the game. One to look out f…
