The War Within arrives this year—promising to finally address Battle for Azeroth’s biggest dangling plot thread: the giant bloody sword that’s sticking out of the planet. We know this because of some subtle hints from the expansion’s cinematic trailer, like when the camera pans to the giant bloody sword. The one that’s sticking out of the planet.

In case you’re out of the loop, the sword was put there by Sargeras the Dark Titan, leader of the Burning Legion, when he was finally slain in the Legion expansion. This caused Azeroth to bleed a material called Azerite—kicking off the events of Battle for Azeroth and yet another unpopular borrowed power system (giving players new toys only to yoink them away at the end of the expansion).

If you’ve ever been too terrified to take your Minecraft wolf out on an expedition for fear of creeper explosions and pillager raids, then boy, do I have news for you. 

Today, Mojang announced on Twitter that wolves will receive a significant update in Minecraft, including new variants and wolf armour. While these changes are still in the works, you can try them out for yourself by enabling snapshots for Minecraft: Java Edition or in the previews/beta for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. 

I’m overjoyed. Not only will I finally be able to tell my army of wolves apart without needing dozens of nametags and a magnifying glass, I’ll also be able to finally give my pets the protection they deserve.

The multiplayer survival horror game Dead by Daylight is getting a brand new survivor in Year 8, and his name is Nic. The big news actually leaked out earlier this week, but now it’s official and real: Nicolas Cage, the man who brought us, well, Nicolas Cage, is coming to the game later this year in “the collaboration players didn’t know they needed.”
